Quiet Time With Jesus – Blessed

Monday, 19 Aug 2019

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD (Psalm 33:12). God made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation. (Acts 17:26)

When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. “All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will SEPARATE them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.” (Matthew 25:31-33)

Are you a sheep or a goat?

As followers of Christ, we ought to pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. We are called to fight the good fight of faith. Let us be rich in good deeds, generous and willing to share. Let us guard what has been entrusted to our care. Let us turn away from godless chatter and opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge.

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

The Bible says: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves – having a form of godliness but denying its power. The Bible also says: Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Father God, I pray and ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to work through all followers of Christ: that we are prepared in season and out of season to preach the Word; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction.

Help us to be mindful of Paul’s warning: The time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their ITCHING EARS want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to MYTHS.

Help us to keep our heads in all situations, endure hardships and do the work of an evangelist. We want to discharge all the duties of our ministries - whatever You have assigned to us. May we be found faithful. Amen!
