“You are a letter from Christ… not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God.” (2 Corinthians 3:3)
Apostle Paul wrote letters. His letters became epistles. Paul said that we are letters from Christ… Wow! The true credentials of ministry are changed lives: living epistles. That’s our ministry: to live out the life that God has given us through faith in Christ.
Paul said that we are letters from Christ. The author is Christ. Christ uses us as an instrument, a vessel or a channel to connect with the world. God can speak through us in a spoken word, a written letter, a gentle touch or any act of godliness. We are not written with ink. We are written by the Spirit of the living God. The ink is the Holy Spirit. He writes on our hearts. The indwelling Spirit becomes for us a law written on our hearts. He is in us to guide us. He completes and fulfils the work of the written law in our hearts. The Spirit gives life. With this spiritual life, we can live out the law of God.
The Lord had said, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” (Ezekiel 36:26-27) Hallelujah!
Dear Father God,
Our lives are changed because of Your intervention. You love us so much that You do not leave us in the dark. Even when darkness overtakes us, Your light will come bursting in (Psalm 112:4). With Christ, darkness cannot succeed. Darkness will not gain victory over the light of Christ. May we continue to be letters from Christ, written by the Spirit of living God.
