How do you know when God is speaking to you?
I believe He speaks to each one of us differently. For me, He often speaks in the form of nature. Yesterday, I was amazed by bushes and bushes - full of beautiful bougainvillea blossoms - in front of a block of flats in my neighbourhood.
This block of flats is special because a group of us will be visiting a social centre for the elderly located right here. We want to bring the residents the joy of celebrating our traditional Chinese New Year through songs, games, fellowship and food.
How does God speak to you?
Dear Father God,
Because of Your great love, we are not consumed, for Your compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. [Lamentations 3:22-23]
You did not appear to me in a burning bush but in a bush of beautiful bougainvillea in full bloom. It’s a breath-taking sight! Thank You Lord!
You have also spoken to me through anointed lips. O Holy God, You are awesome! I am not afraid to dwell in Your presence. All I want is to remain in the shelter of the Most High. All I want is to rest in the shadow of the Almighty. O Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress; You are my God, in whom I trust.
Lord I come to You / Let my heart be changed, renewed / Flowing from the grace / That I found in You / And Lord I’ve come to know / The weaknesses I see in me / Will be stripped away / By the power of Your love.
Hold me close / Let Your love surround me / Bring me near / Draw me to Your side / And as I wait / I’ll rise up like the eagle / And I will soar with You / Your Spirit leads me on / In the power of Your love.
Lord unveil my eyes / Let me see You face to face / The knowledge of Your love / As You live in me / Lord renew my mind / As Your will unfolds in my life / In living every day / By the power of Your love.
