It’s a new perspective: feeding God. Have you ever thought of feeding God? What does He feast on? The psalmist says: If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is Mine, and all its fullness. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? (Psalm 50:12-13)
Let’s look at Abraham. His worship and faithfulness had fed God for many years. Abraham was then in a very intimate place with God in which he could intercede on behalf of the righteous who might be found in Sodom and Gomorrah.
JF: There are walls of intercession that will never be scaled by dispassionate religious service.
Dear Father God,
Forgive us God that we don’t love You the same way You love us. Teach us how to love. We can never love the same way that You love. You laid down Your life so that we might live. You fill us with Your Spirit and feed us with Your Word so that we may grow and become a fruit of the Spirit. Let the world see You in us. Let the world feed on love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I see a world suffering in poverty! How and when can Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven? Through us Lord! Use us Lord!
Your Word says: Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:24)
I pray in the name of Jesus: that we truly live by the Spirit - keeping in step with the Spirit - and not becoming conceited, provoking and envying each other.
When we see someone caught in a sin, teach us how to restore him gently. Fill us with the Holy Spirit so that we do not fall into temptation. Teach us how to carry each other’s burdens. Let us not be deceived that we are something when we are nothing. Remind us to test our own actions.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Thank You God!
