Quiet Time with Jesus – Can Saul be Paul?

Wednesday, 21 March 2018

“Can Saul be Paul?” this question resonates in me. “Of course!” The Bible says so. All things are possible with God. Saul who was persecuting Christians ruthlessly became Paul, the Apostle preaching GRACE to the world. Saul met the Lord on the road to Damascus. The LIGHT OF THE WORLD blinded him. He could not see any more. Paul is probably the only man on earth who saw the Lord in His glorious light and lived. Ironically, God put Saul in darkness so that he might see.

The veil of darkness was removed by the invasion of light from heaven. God continued to work on the man Saul, transforming him into the saint, Paul. How wonderful! How marvelous! How powerful! To God be the glory!

If God can do what He did to Saul, God can do it to any man. Let us pray for all men (and women) who are like Saul… Let us pray for all of them because none shall perish. God does not want anyone to perish. He loves them all. He has begun His Redemptive Work on earth and He needs workers, faithful to His calling, obedient to His commands – not partially obedient but willing to obey all that He is teaching us. It is possible! With God, all things are possible. Hallelujah!

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

Many are called. Few are chosen. What do You mean? Teach us Lord! Father God, when we are called, we want to be chosen – one and all. Let it be all. Amen!

Help us to be obedient to You and Your Word, not compromising with the world (not even with our loved ones). A sin is a sin. We want black to become white – pure white – the colour of the robe that You have prepared for us. Thank You Lord!

We must be crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20). We do not have to nail ourselves physically onto a cross but we do need to nail ourselves spiritually onto the cross of Jesus Christ and BE CRUCIFIED WITH HIM. We must DIE on the cross and RISE AGAIN as His chosen ones who will change the world under the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit.

Let us sign the death certificate of our sin nature. Let us declare the birth of our Christ-like nature. Let us tell the world: WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD, redeemed by the Blood of Christ and we are now living in Him!

Someone said, “It is easy to obey God if we know how to listen.” Father God, remove the plug from our ears. Heal our itching ears. Give us discernment. We do not want to hear what we want to hear but we want to hear what You want us to hear. Give us confidence, strength and wisdom to follow Your commandments. Give us determination to persevere and self-discipline to keep ourselves on track – fixing our eyes on You. Let us hear the voices cheering us on as we climb the stairs up to Your Throne of Grace and Glory. Let YOUR GLORY fall over all the earth!

Give us peace, not the peace that the world gives. We know that the Prince of Peace is interceding for us. HE IS FOR US. Our battle is not with flesh and blood. Our battle is with the devil and his army. Let us polish and put on the Armour of God and stand ready for battle. Let us hold up the Sword of the Spirit.

For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
— Hebrews 4:12-13

Teach us how to do battle in the spiritual realm. All things are possible with God. Lord Jesus, You have won the battle. Death has no power over You. Therefore in Christ, we shall move and live and have our being.
