His words were in my ears like a broken record. I was listening to a preacher teach on the power of prayer. He said that our God is Almighty God. He is God of the Impossible.
1 John 5:14 says that if we ASK anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
He said, “Don’t ask: ‘God, what is Your will?’ and wait for Him to answer!” The preacher lifted his Bible and said emphatically, “HIS WILL is written here!!! Just do it!!!”
Can we remind ourselves that our Father has written His Will? I believe my Father is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Our Father, God Almighty hears us when we pray. He knows when our spirits are hungry for Him. Our good good Father will feed us. He knows the desires of our heart. Our good good Father will satisfy the desires of our heart. He knows when our spirit, soul and body are weak. He will strengthen us.
Knowing God and His character; Knowing Jesus and reminding ourselves of what He commanded; Reading (and responding in actions) the Apostles’ letters; praying (without ceasing); and asking the Holy Spirit to teach, remind, correct and transform us back to the image of God – that (to me) is God’s Will.
This is my prayer: that our LOVE may abound in knowing God, abound in depth of insight of His Will, so that we may be able to discern what is best and pure and blameless until the day our Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth.
Dear Father God, fill us with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ not through self-righteousness. O Holy Spirit, enable us to know the difference!
I believe God will show the Holiness of His Great Name. I believe the nations will know that He is LORD when He shows Himself Holy. God is giving us a new heart and putting a new spirit in us. He is removing from us our heart of stone and giving us a heart of flesh. He is putting His Spirit in us and moving us to follow His decrees and to keep His laws.
God is not far from each one of us. It is written: In Him, we live and move and have our being. God has written His will. Let us do all the things that He tells us to do in His Will. Let us tell the world that we love our Father. To Him be the glory for ever and ever! Amen!
