I looked at my Mothers’ Day gift and thought, “It’s imperfect.” That’s me – I’m the vessel. I’m imperfect. I put in a tea-light and lit it. Light shines through the cross … and I thought, “His Light is perfect” – we are imperfect vessels carrying the perfect light of God. Hallelujah!
As I listened to the song ‘Go light your candle’ – I hear His voice …
Dear Father God,
We are shaped by our life experiences in the world, but You said – we are not of the world. Truly, we are all imperfect vessels, but the light that You have entrusted to us is perfect. Our tea-lights will burn for only a limited time – You know how long, we do not – so, dear dear Father, give us the revelation and knowledge of Your will – clear and specific directions – for today, and every day for the rest of our lives on planet earth. May Your Name be praised! Amen!
