When I travel by bus or train, I’m usually busy texting. When I travel by taxi, I’m usually busy talking … Whether the journey is long or short, God always opens the door for me to share Christ with the taxi-driver. When I tell the taxi-driver where I want to go e.g. Winstedt Road …, I would habitually tell him that I’m going to church, and we worship in the Performing Arts Hall of a primary school … Our conversation would revolve around Jesus. Hallelujah!
The more I share, the more confident I get. The more I share, the more anointing I receive from the Holy Spirit. The back seat of the taxi becomes my ‘pulpit’ …
Do you take Jesus out?
After the first overnight camp for K1 and K2 children at the Child Care Centre where I worked for 7 years, I was allowed to sleep near the door so that I may rise early for my Quiet Time with Jesus. All the teachers knew that I love Jesus. All the children knew that I love Jesus. All the parents knew that I love Jesus. I was hungry for God and had eagerly looked forward to each cell meeting at the Garden and everybody knew it. Praise God!
I was a baby Christian, hungry for spiritual food. To date, I still need spiritual food daily. Hence, quiet time with Jesus every morning is very precious to me. It is like my spiritual breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day for me. Thanks be to God!
Jesus said to the church at Ephesus, “You have forsaken your first love … Repent and do the things you did at first … (Revelation 2:5) As I take to heart Jesus’ words, I prayed:
“Dear Lord, if I have forsaken my first love, please re-ignite the fire. Please help me fan into flame the love of God, which is in me by the in-filling of the Holy Spirit.
Your Holy Spirit lives in me. I am healed. I am made whole. I am born again. I am a new creation. I am Your spokesperson, Your ambassador, Your representative … I am Yours. Use me, Lord. Amen!
I pray that my love will abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that I may be able to discern what is best, and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ.
Father God, I give You thanks! I give You praise!
All glory belongs to You!
Yes! We want to take Jesus out. Amen!
