Quiet Time with Jesus – Blessed Assurance

Saturday, 31 December 2016

Sometimes, are we more concerned about the absence of rain than the presence of God? (God gives us sunlight. God also gives us rain.)

Sometimes, are we more concerned about the absence of pain than the presence of God? (God gives us pleasure. God also gives us pain.)

I am convinced that God has created everything for a purpose. I am also convinced that God’s purposes are all good.

The Bible says that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
— Romans 8:28

Holy God, I am convinced that You are with us in the flood and in the fire. When we pass through the waters, You will be with us; and when we pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over us. When we walk through the fire, we will not be burned; the flames will not set us ablaze. For You are the LORD, our God, the Holy One of Israel, our Savior; We are not afraid, for You are with us!

However, let us not be deceived. The lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of His mouth and destroy by the splendor of His coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:8-10)

I have heard and read many testimonies of God’s faithfulness – how He turned things round, changed darkness into light, created good out of evil… I am convinced that the presence of God gave our brothers and sisters in Christ courage and consistency. In Him, we can overcome! Peace to all who are in Christ!

May the message of the Lord spread rapidly and be honored. The Lord is faithful and He will strengthen and protect us from the evil one. May the Lord direct our hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance! May the Lord of peace give us peace at all times and in every way.

The Bible says that the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. (2 Peter 3:10) Apostle Peter urged us to live holy and godly lives as we look forward to the day of God… in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a NEW HEAVEN and a NEW EARTH, the home of righteousness. Hallelujah!

To God be glory both now and forever! Amen!
