Quiet Time with Jesus – He Has Healed Me!

The heading: ‘Paul boasts about his sufferings’

What anyone else dares to boast about … I also dare to boast about … Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea. I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers. I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?

If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying. In Damascus the governor under King Aretas had the city of Damascenes guarded in order to arrest me. But I was lowered in a basket from a window in the wall and slipped through his hands.
— 2 Corinthians 11:30-33

When I encounter difficulties, I often ask God, “Why?” But I have learned that God cannot teach me anything when nothing is happening. It is when we are desperate that we cry out for help.

God our Father in heaven is pleased when He sees family members live in harmony. Where there is hurting in the soul (mind and emotions), Jehovah Rophe has given us a provision:

Is there no balm in Gilead; Is there no physician there?

Gilead means ‘praise’. What happens when we praise the Lord?

We usher in Jehovah Rophe.

When the Israelites left Egypt, they ate lamb with bitter herbs. We will encounter bitter circumstances at times, but if we mix them with the Lamb of God, He will bring healing. The more I praise Him, the more I stir up pleasure in me. The more I praise Him, the more I sense His presence. Hallelujah!

There is nothing our God cannot do; there is no sickness that our God cannot heal; there is no problem that our God cannot solve. Amen!

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission.
— Hebrews 5:7
Although He was a son, He learned obedience from what He suffered and, once made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
— Hebrews 5:8-10

Dear God,

Please wash my heart and renew my mind every day! I was once dead but now I am alive and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Amen!
