H: heart; M: mind; V: vision;
As I meditate on the word ‘vision’ I received two words from the Lord: heart and mind. God usually gives me a word or two and my brain will process it into a sentence, a devotional, or an essay! My mind processes what God puts into my heart and I will talk to myself explaining what God said. Does it sound weird?
Individually, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Every one of us is His masterpiece. We have our unique beauty and flaw, strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes. No two persons are exactly the same. Yet, we are called to live together and love one another unconditionally.
By nature and nurture, I am slow and steady, calm and composed … Yet sometimes, I am too fast and sometimes too slow! I have offended many people when I spoke too fast and frustrated many people when I’m too slow. Almost all my life, I live to please ‘man’ and not God! Truth about our ‘flesh’ is ugly!
Dear Father God,
You are the Maker of heaven and earth. You are our Divine Creator, Mentor, Master and Lord! You came to deliver us from the darkness of our world into Your Kingdom of light. You came to rescue us from the depths of the pit and we are saved. Yes! By grace we have been saved, through faith in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
Father God, thank you for creating every part of my body that performs a unique function so that I can live a healthy life. Your design is perfect! Thank you that our heart is connected to our mind. Our mind is like a CPU (central processing unit) that processes what we see, hear, smell, touch and taste. Our thoughts and actions are usually generated according to our knowledge and experiences. But Father, we do not want to conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Then, we will be able to test and approve what Your will is – Your good, pleasing and perfect will.
Without a vision of Your purpose for me, my life becomes meaningless. Apostle Paul said: ‘To live is Christ, to die is gain’ (Philippians 1:21). How true! At every stage of my life, priorities have changed ... O God, I desire to do Your will; Your law is within my heart. I am not anxious about anything. In everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I will always present my requests to You. Your peace that surpasses all understanding will guard my HEART and my MIND in Christ Jesus. I will always remember to THINK about things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy. O Yes! All good and perfect gifts are from You. Thank You, Father!
Yes! I thank you for the Holy Spirit who is helping me - teaching, counselling, comforting and frequently reminding me of Your word and promises.
Jesus prayed for us, “Holy Father, protect them by the power of Your name – the name You gave me – so that they may be one as we are one.” Jesus also prayed for us to have the full measure of His joy within us. Jesus did not pray that You take us out of the world but that You protect us from the evil one.
Indeed, we are not of the world. Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth.

I desire to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart (Psalm 40:8).
