Jesus raised the dead (Jairus’ daughter who was a twelve year old girl) but He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about it. (Mark 5:43) Why?
Jesus healed a blind man at Bethsaida but He told him not to tell anyone. (Mark 8:26) Why?
Peter confessed that Jesus is the Christ but Jesus warned His disciples not to tell anyone about Him. (Mark 8:30) Why?
Perhaps, it was not the right time to tell. God is sovereign. He is in control.
At the right time, Jesus comforted His disciples, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” (John 14:1)
The right time is the best time. God makes everything beautiful in its time. God has set eternity in our hearts; yet we cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Dear Father God,
At the right time, Jesus stood up and read from Scripture, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Then, He began teaching by saying, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
Many times, Jesus has said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” This is my prayer that ears are opened to Your word whenever and wherever Your Sovereignty is proclaimed.
Whoever believes will be saved. Signs will accompany those who believe and in the name of Jesus demons will be cast out, new tongues will be spoken, and Your anointed ones will place their hands on the sick and they will be healed.
Father, we trust in Your perfect timing that everything according to Your will shall come to pass.
Praise the Lord!
