The Bible says: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
The Word was God!
The Bible also says: Then God said, “Let US make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness …"
[The Bible is the written word of God. Writers of the Bible are inspired by the Holy Spirit.]
The Bible says: The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him – the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD …
[Jesus did not perform miracles without the power of the Holy Spirit.]
From my journal
God, and His Word, and His Spirit are ONE.
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we become hungry – hungry for the Word.
God, and His Word, and His Holy Spirit never operate separately!
The Bible says: The Word became flesh [Jesus] and made His dwelling among us.
Jesus the man made His dwelling among men. The Holy Spirit makes His dwelling in our spirits (when we invite Him to come into our hearts).
The Servant’s sword is not a literal sword of war in His hand but the sword of truth in His mouth – the sword of God’s powerful prophetic Word. He speaks words that are intended to cut to the heart and penetrate our godless barriers …
Human consciousness is an amazing instrument for self-deception. We can persuade ourselves that black is white if it suits our purpose …
The Holy Spirit unravels and exposes our defense. He helps us discern the intentions of our heart.
O Father God, search our hearts!
The Holy Spirit searches. He reveals. He exposes. He convicts. We are enabled to ‘see’ ourselves in true light – no more self-deception!
Praise the Lord!
Dear Father God
I am concerned by our limited perception of You. Some of us neglect feeding on Your Word. Some of us are not aware of the power of the Holy Spirit. I pray and ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ: that each and every one of Your children be enlightened by Your Word and empowered by Your Spirit. Amen!
Put into our spirit the hunger for Your Word, the desire to dwell in Your Presence and the passion and power to pursue You, to please You, to praise You and to love You with all our heart and mind and soul and strength. Hallelujah!
I am filled with unspeakable joy in my heart ...
Hymn Of Joy - Henry J. Van Dyke
Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee; God of glory, Lord of love; Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee; Opening to the sun above; Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; Drive the dark of doubt away; Giver of immortal gladness; Fill us with the light of day!
All Thy works with joy surround Thee; Earth and heaven reflect Thy rays; Stars and angels sing around Thee; Center of unbroken praise; Field and forest, vale and mountain; Flowery meadow, flashing sea; Singing bird and flowing fountain; Call us to rejoice in Thee;
Thou art giving and forgiving; Ever blessing, ever blessed; Wellspring of the joy of living; Ocean depth of happy rest! Thou our Father, Christ our Brother; All who live in love are Thine; Teach us how to love each other; Lift us to the joy divine;
Mortals, join the happy chorus; Which the morning stars began; Father love is reigning o’er us; Brother love binds man to man; Ever singing, march we onward; Victors in the midst of strife; Joyful music leads us sunward; In the triumph song of life;
