Quiet Time with Jesus – How much time?

How much time do I have?

Nobody knows. Only God knows. What if …? I dare not imagine but I do want to leave with no regrets. Is it possible? God says that all things are possible – WITH HIM. Hallelujah!

Max Lucado (When God Whispers Your Name)

David the psalmist becomes David the voyeur, but by God’s grace becomes David the psalmist again. Peter denied Christ before he preached Christ. Zacchaeus, the crook. The cleanest part of his life was the money he’d laundered. But Jesus still had time for him …

Story after story, prayer after prayer, surprise after surprise … It seems that God is looking more for ways to get us home than for ways to keep us out. I challenge you to find one soul who came to God seeking grace and did not find it.

I consider myself successful in my studies, my family and my work but there was something missing until I met Jesus. My life was not a bed of roses but I consider myself greatly blessed when I see people who are poor and hungry – the ‘uncle’ who goes from table to table, eating leftover food, people who are physically impaired, people who are desperate and people turning from one god to another …

A pastor said that he met Jesus when he fell on his knees, crying out to God …

I have a friend who is desperately in need of a breakthrough …

What can she do? What can I do to help?

Pray - pray until something happens (push).

God is forever faithful! In all circumstances, He will see us through!

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

Very often the people who hurt us most are the people closest to us. Why is that so? Is it the works of the devil whose objective is forever breaking people up, bringing people down … O Lord Jesus, we need You desperately!

Father God, revive us and give us a vision for the future. Take everything that is not of You out of our minds and our lives!

Lead us to people who need to know You; Anoint our lips to comfort and encourage; Anoint our hands to heal the sick; Anoint our feet to go the extra mile …

Your love is amazing! Pour it out into our hearts until overflowing …

Thank You LORD!

Song: Come As You Are

Verse 1

Come out of sadness from wherever you’ve been; Come broken hearted, let rescue begin; Come find your mercy, oh sinner come kneel; Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal; Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal;

So lay down your burdens, lay down your shame; All who are broken, lift up your face; Oh wanderer come home, you’re not too far; So lay down your hurt, lay down your heart; Come as you are;

Verse 2

There’s hope for the hopeless and all those who’ve strayed; Come sit at the table, come taste the grace; There’s rest for the weary, rest that endures; Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t cure;

Come as you are, come as you are; Fall in His arms, come as you are;

Verse 3

There’s joy for the morning, oh sinner be still; Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal; Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal;
