Cairnhill's 19th Anniversary

1 October 2017

This October, Cairnhill celebrated her 19th birthday by remembering how good God has been to us. Our church's pastors, Pastor William and Pastor Ming, took us down the memory lane with a conversational sermon in the form on a skit.

On 4 October 1998, Cairnhill was constituted as the 17th church in TRAC. Dr Denis, one of the pioneers received Isaiah 49:6 “Being a light to the nations” as our missions verse.  Over the years, the Lord led us to develop Cairnhill’s spiritual DNA; we are committed to using our resources to grow families, generate missions, and bring God’s healing to people.

We live to share the good news both in Singapore and abroad. Cairnhill is located within Anglo-Chinese School (Junior) and we have been partnering closely with the school to minister to students and their families through daily interactions, and on special days including Easter and Children’s Day celebrations. These are just one of the many examples of platforms for us to reach out.

We thank God for His pillars of clouds and fire, for providing many resources for Cairnhill to help families and individuals who have come to our doors to experience God's love and healing. Throwback to the fun times when each worshipper laid out chairs for Sunday service and stacked them back after!

God has led us through many challenging and sometimes difficult lessons, but we see His hand of grace upon all our lives. Till this day, God continues to do miraculous works in us and around us so that He may be glorified.

PSLE Blessings Sunday

17 September 2017

It is more blessed to give than to receive
— Acts 20:35b

As the PSLE exams near the corner, the older brothers and sisters from BlazeInC Youth started an initiative to prepare study packs for the P6s. Jing Xuan and Edric shared with the P6s how God guided them through their major exams and encouraged them, before the rest of the BlazeInCers came to the class to bring some joy and cheer.

As part of living out the BlazeInC Youths mission, we believe in showing love to everyone and verbalising encouragement and support for one another.

We truly want to bless the P6s. Join us as we pray for all P6s taking their first major exams:

  • Good quality sleep
  • Good time management and focus when they revise
  • Speed, accuracy and good memory recall when they do their papers
  • That they will draw nearer to God and experience His provisions

Mid-Autumn Festival Outreach 2017

23 September 2017

Despite the warm weather on this Saturday evening, 117 adults and children turned up.  Pastor Jeffrey Tay shared on some interesting insights on Chinese practices and Christian beliefs. God's message of Truth touched the hearts of our guests and we celebrated with three who made a life-changing decision to follow Jesus!

Benny and Kah Wee made a great team as they turned the crowd's attention towards the games that were lined up for them. The children also had their fair share of fun, making colourful lanterns out of paper. Perhaps, it was more exciting to parade their lanterns around the school in the dark and winning prizes for their creativity.

We are thankful that God has blessed us with a beautiful evening.
