According to Ravi Zacharias, the book of Acts gives us the five components of worship: the Lord’s Supper, teaching, prayer, praise and giving.
Excerpt from his book ‘The Grand Weaver”
The Lord’s Supper – The oneness of the Trinity and the oneness of our communion with the triune God is the only hope for our fractured lives to be mended and for our fractured societies and fractured races to come together.
Teaching – Teaching makes it possible to prepare the children of the community to understand their faith and to pass it on to the next generation.
Prayer – More than anything else, prayer enables you to see your own heart and brings you into alignment with God’s heart.
Praise – Each redeemed soul focuses not on itself but on the God who created it.
Giving – If we are to be true worshipers, we must learn the art and the heart of giving.
Dear Father God
I shall always remind myself of one word: ONENESS. Give us teachable spirits and the ability to discern what is best, pure and blameless so that the teaching of Your Word is passed on from generation to generation without contamination, corruption or compromise. Father, help us learn how to pray without ceasing so that our own motives, thoughts and intentions are revealed. Bring us into alignment with Your heart. Our focus is not on ourselves but on You. Give us generous hearts, always willing and ready to give. In Jesus’ most wonderful name I pray.
