From time to time, God sends someone into my life for a purpose. Through each relationship, I learn to draw nearer to God. He reveals new perspectives and helps me change the way I think. Thanks be to God!
There are times when I am at a loss for words. There are times when emotions overwhelm me. But, God is always near. I am often reminded to be still, and know that He is God. He will be exalted among the nations, He will be exalted in the earth (Psalm 46:10).
Dear Father God,
I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted. You said, “Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.”
I pray for all believers to draw near to You and be still to listen to every word You say. Let Your questions reveal to us the truth — the condition of our hearts and the motive of our minds. Let us repent, confess and seek forgiveness. You are faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
You are always near — in every situation. Even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for You are with us; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort us. You prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. You anoint our heads with oil; our cups overflow. Surely goodness and love will follow us all the days of our lives, and we will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Amen!
