God used circumstances to reveal to Jesus what He was to do. Jesus paid attention to know where the Father wanted to involve Him in His work. God also will use circumstances to reveal His directions to you. However, you must check these against what God says through the Scriptures, prayer, and other Christians. Reviewing your spiritual markers is one way in which God may give you a sense of direction through your circumstances. When God is ready for you to take a new step or direction, it will be in agreement with what He has already been doing in your life.
The Bible says that we are God’s workmanship, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
We (who have been MADE ALIVE/BORN AGAIN WITH CHRIST) are intentionally created (BY GOD) for good works. Before our new birth, we followed the trends of the world and gave in to the lusts of our flesh and fulfilled the sinful desires of the flesh and of the mind. But that is no longer how we live. God who is rich in mercy looks after us in His great love. We have been woken up to a NEW LIFE BY FAITH IN CHRIST, to do good works that are devised by the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!
This is what the Bible says: As we come to Him, the living Stone – rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him – WE also, like living stones, ARE BEING BUILT INTO A SPIRITUAL HOUSE to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:4-5, Isaiah 28:16)
Dear Father God
I trust in Your Word because Your Word is TRUTH. Your Word says that we are a CHOSEN PEOPLE, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God. We give You thanks and praise and honour and glory because You have called us out of the darkness into Your wonderful light. Hallelujah!
I declare that we are aliens and strangers in the world. I declare that we have the will (the heart of God and the mind of Christ) and the power (of the Holy Spirit) to abstain from sinful desires, which war against our soul. We are able to live such GOOD LIVES among the pagans that, though they may accuse us of doing wrong, they may SEE OUR GOOD WORKS and give You praise, and honour, and glory! Amen.
Yes! To God be the Glory!
Peter tells us to submit to every authority instituted among men for it is God’s will that by doing good we should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. If we suffer for doing good and endure it, it is commendable before God. To this we are called, because Christ suffered for us, LEAVING US AN EXAMPLE, that we should follow in His steps. (1 Peter 2:13-21)
He (Jesus) bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; BY HIS WOUNDS WE HAVE BEEN HEALED. For we were like sheep going astray, but now WE HAVE RETURNED to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls. (1 Peter 2:24-25) I declare: Your Word is TRUTH. Amen!
The end of all things is near. Let’s be clear-minded and self-controlled so that we can pray. Above all, let’s LOVE ONE ANOTHER DEEPLY, because love covers over a multitude of sins. And when we serve, we should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
