Quiet Time With Jesus – Praise the LORD!

Tuesday, 11 June 2019

Hallelu Yah! Hallelu, servants of YHWH; Hallelu the name of YHWH. Let the name of YHWH be blessed, from now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place at its setting, praised be the name of YHWH (Psalm 113:1-3).

The above verses remind me of a ritual introduced to us at a conference. If we teach our little children to raise their hands and voices to worship and praise the LORD, why are we (adults) not doing it? Isn’t it strange that we don’t practice what we teach?

Different people praise and worship God in different ways. King David removed his kingly robes (humbled himself), put on a linen ephod (wore a priestly garment) and danced before the LORD. Do we look at King David the way his wife Michal (daughter of Saul) looked at him that day? The Bible said that she despised him in her heart. (2 Samuel 6:16)

The Bible also tells us that Michal (daughter of Saul) had no children to the day of her death. (2 Samuel 6:23)

The name of the LORD is to be praised EVERY DAY. God’s name reveals His majesty: He ‘is exalted over all the nations, His glory above the heavens’ (Psalm 113:4).

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to share my story with a new believer. As I recollected my encounters with God, I recounted God’s amazing grace and goodness, divine provision and protection for my family and me.

Although we will continue to walk through trials and tests, trouble and tribulations, we can take heart because Jesus has overcome. In Him, we have peace – peace that transcends understanding. Hallelu Yah!

Song: Praise Ye The Lord Hallelujah

Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Praise ye the Lord!

Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Praise ye the Lord!

Praise ye the Lord! Hallelujah!

Praise ye the Lord! Hallelujah!

Praise ye the Lord! Hallelujah!

Praise ye the Lord!

My Thanksgiving Poem (15 Dec 2011)

Dear God, by grace Your life flows into mine

You lead me into Your presence so divine

You’ve rescued me from death and destruction

You’ve given me a new life and reconstruction

Worshipping You brings me nearer to You

Glorifying You daily is all that I want to do

Drawn into Your fountain of life

Born again in Christ I’m alive!

Power from on high, a continuous flow

In wisdom and strength I shall grow!

To You I turn for guidance and sanctification

In You I live my life to the fullest satisfaction

All day long, I praise Your Holy Name

My life shall no longer be the same!

Hallelujah! Praise the LORD!

Amen!

In Him we live and move and have our being. We are His offspring. (Acts 17:28)
