In Christ I am a child of God. I am forgiven. I am saved by grace through faith. I am a new creation. I am justified. I am an heir of eternal life. I am led by the Spirit. I am redeemed from the curse of the law. I am strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. I am an heir of God and co-heir with Christ. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing. I am an imitator of God. I am the light of the world. I am healed by His wounds. I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind. I am heir to the blessings of Abraham. I am more than a conqueror. I am able to do all things through His strength. Amen!
The above are words on a poster – IN CHRIST I AM. Every time when I read it, I feel pride creeping up in me but the Holy Spirit reminds me – You are… You are… You are… because IN CHRIST, you are… Not you but CHRIST. Hallelujah!
Max Lucado: Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in our lives, carrying on the work of Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us in three directions – inwardly (by granting us the fruits of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-24), upwardly (by praying for us, Romans 8:26), and outwardly (by pouring God’s love into our hearts, Romans 5:5).
When you invite God into your life, you invite the Holy Spirit too. “And the Spirit Himself joins with our spirits to say we are God’s children” (Romans 8:16 NCV).
You might call it the BEST FAMILY REUNION you’ve ever been to. Unquote.
It’s one of the wonderful mysteries of our faith – Jesus is the Son of God, an individual, yet also God Himself. The same is true of the Holy Spirit. He works inside us, with God and as God, leading us to the life we were meant to live.
My encounters with the Triune God
I knew God the Father since I was child. I have frequently stood in front of a full-length mirror looking at my reflection, wondering in amazement – the creation of man…
I encountered the Holy Spirit many times when I was taking a full-time course at Rhema Bible Training Center Singapore (RBTCS). I received the gift of tongues in 2008, seven years after my water baptism.
Jesus Christ revealed Himself – progressively – after I joined a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) group. To me, it was not merely knowing Christ in my head but knowing Him in my heart. The daily pursuit of His presence in His Word enlightens me tremendously.
I believe every Christian has a story to tell and every story is amazing because we are all encountering the Same Awesome God who created heaven and earth, who sent His Son to die on the cross to redeem the world back to Himself.
Dear Father God,
Thank You for Who You Are and making us who we are. Because of Your great love we are not consumed, for Your compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness, O God! (Lamentations 3:22-23)
