Some of us are busy all day long, having very little time to be quiet before God. Our minds are saturated with work to complete, deadlines to meet, problems to solve, decisions to make, etc. It is good to take time off to be quiet before the LORD. Let our spirit, soul and body be still. Sometimes we simply can’t do it so we try to keep our spirit still and sensitive to the Holy Spirit while our body continues to work. What about our mind? If we are thinking about work all the time, then we cannot be thinking about the things of God. I still think we need to go (physically) away from the busy world that we live in and rest (spirit, soul and body) in His presence. It takes time to enter into His presence…
Some of us in our busy day-to-day lifestyle would turn to the Bible and search for verses that would inspire us, strengthen us and give us hope or wisdom or a rhema word from God. God is faithful. Before I knew Him, [even now] I have often stepped into a bookshop and asked Him to lead me to a book that will help me solve my problem. Miraculously, He has answered every prayer. I became a lover of books! The book I bought always contained the answer (advice or solution) that I needed. Thanks be to God! One such book is ‘Undercover’ by John Bevere.
Do you ask God for spiritual gifts? Do you desire to have all the gifts? Have you ever wondered which gift is the best gift? I received God’s answer through an anointed preacher: The best spiritual gift is the gift needed for a specific moment, in a specific place, and in a specific situation e.g. you would need the gift of healing when you laying hands on a sick person and praying for his (or her) healing…
Dear Father God,
The Holy Bible is a wonderful book! Thank You! I see Your Promises throughout the Book but I know we should not read the Bible and pull out Your Promises only at times of need. Let us read the Bible because we want to know You, encounter You, sense Your presence, hear Your voice, receive Your anointing, guidance, wisdom, strength, peace… The Bible is like a treasure chest. It contains everything we need. Hallelujah!
The Bible says: Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; [if we are looking up and we are looking down… where are we?] the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. [Are we beginning to see this happening?] But My salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail… and again: But My righteousness will last forever, My salvation through all generations. [Hallelujah! Thank You LORD!]
There is still time to repent. The Bible says: Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the vessels of the LORD. But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the LORD will go before you, [this is very important,] the God of Israel will be your rear guard. [This is very important too!] (Isaiah 52:11-12)
Father God, I am going nowhere if You are not going with me. I will do nothing if You are not doing it with me. Your word tells me that ‘apart from You, I can do nothing’ (John 15:5b). We must remember that! Amen!
