Quiet Time with Jesus – Families

Wednesday, 4 April 2018

On Saturday 21 April 2018, Christian families are called to gather for ‘Arise!’ This is a FAMILY event that gathers all generations to encounter God in worship and prayer. The gathering will take place at St. James’ Church.

On 20 and 24 May 2018, Christian families are called to gather for Aldersgate sg at Paya Lebar Methodist Church. This gathering commemorates John Wesley’s Aldersgate encounter with God. The flyer says: Just As We Are (sounds like Billy Graham): God’s Call for Families.

FAMILIES!

The word ‘families’ keep appearing to me! The flyer also says:

What types of families does God use? Does He only call “picture-perfect” or idealized families? Or can He work through authentic families, JUST AS WE ARE so that as a Methodist family our LOVING UNITY would bring glory to God? Come just as you are to ALDERSGATE SG 2018, and answer God’s call!

I am excited. Christians will hear about ‘biblically strong families being the foundation of a strong church’, the church and nation-building, secret weapons of a working mother in a busy world and strong fathers are key to strong families. God is calling Christian Families to gather at one place and listen to His voice through appointed and anointed speakers, be of one heart and one mind – called to gather as ONE FAMILY – HIS FAMILY. Praise God!

I’m bursting with energy and high in spirit. This condition of my spirit is the result of sitting at the feet of Jesus, learning and absorbing what He is teaching me through several speakers during the month of March. I received affirmation after affirmation through prophecies (spoken over me) and prophetic drawing/painting.

Let us pay attention, discern with wisdom from above and work out the prophecies released by God-fearing and Spirit-filled brothers and sisters-in-Christ. Let us seize every opportunity to preach the Good News of forgiveness and salvation. Let us open our eyes and see the poor. Let us lay hands to pray for the sick. Let us respond with our hearts filled with LOVE and COMPASSION. Let us move and live and have our being IN CHRIST.

Please sing with me:

Surely children weren’t made for the streets/And fathers were not made to leave/Surely this isn’t how it should be/Let Your Kingdom come;

Surely nations were not made for war/Or the broken meant to be ignored/Surely this just can’t be what You saw/Let Your Kingdom come/Here in my heart…

And I will live/To carry Your compassion/To love a world that’s broken/To be Your hands and feet/And I will give/With the life that I’ve been given/And go beyond religion/To see the world be changed/By the power of Your name/By the power of Your name;

Surely life wasn’t made to regret/And the lost were not made to forget/Surely faith without action is dead/Let Your Kingdom come/Lord break this heart…

Jesus Your name/Is a shelter for the hurting/Jesus Your name/Is a refuge for the weak/Only Your name/can redeem the undeserving/Jesus Your name/ Holds everything I need;

Jesus said, “When a man believes in Me, he does not believe in Me only, but in the One who sent Me. When he looks at Me, he sees the One who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should stay in darkness.” (John12: 44-46)

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

You are the One - the Only One – who can open eyes, change hearts and transform lives. You are the One who sees the end from the beginning. Your Word says,

See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of their children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.
— Malachi 4:5-6
He will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous – to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
— Luke 1:17

I pray for all people who are prepared for the Lord: We shall be united in Christ i.e. We are ONE FAMILY IN CHRIST.

Amen!
