Yesterday, I was fasting and traveling to the east coast of Singapore with the intention of taking a walk at the beach. It was a new experience for me to take a bus from where I live (Tiong Bahru) to the east (Changi Road). However, I did not get to walk at the beach because the sun was scorching hot. I will do it another day.
In the past, I would have been very disappointed but I’m learning to yield to the Spirit (at all times) and, if I go (anywhere) or do (anything) led by the Spirit of God, I will have no regrets whatsoever.
Sometimes, we don’t even have to go anywhere or do anything. We can be satisfied, filled and blessed by His holy presence.
Last Saturday, my husband asked me for a PSALM – one that he can use to encourage a friend. Nothing came to mind until this morning. The Lord led me to Psalm 91. Indeed, it is a great Psalm to meditate on and memorize for life.
Dear Father God,
Thank You for Your presence with us especially at times of need. I pray that all followers of Christ are able to enjoy Your presence just like Jesus did when He walked on this earth. It would be so awesome if the whole Body of Christ walks as Jesus did. After all, that is Your purpose for us: that we grow in Christ, walk in Christ and accomplish Your purposes for us in Christ. Hallelujah! It will come to pass! Yes, it will.
Father, You have a unique purpose for each individual. Bill Johnson said, “Unity is not uniformity. Unity is only found in diversity.” Unite us as we excel in diversity. Bind us together in love and peace. Reward us with Your joy. Help us see beyond ourselves and rejoice. Surely in Your presence is fullness of joy!
The revelation of Your presence shall surpass all adverse conditions be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. Surely Your presence will enable us to abound in fullness of life. Hallelujah! Amen!
