Quiet Time with Jesus – Living In Christ

Friday, 14 July 2017

Apostle Paul said, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Phi. 1:21)

Our pastor, Pastor William said, “Let’s abide in Christ to abound in life.”

The best dwelling place is in Christ. It is the safest place to live in and the surest place where His will is being done.

To enter God’s rest requires we abide in full surrender to His will, in perfect trust of His power. We learn to rest from our works “as God did from His” (Heb. 4:10). To “rest from our labors” does not mean we have stopped working; it means we have stopped the laborious work of the flesh and sin. It means we have entered the eternal works that He brings forth through us.
— Francis Frangipane

Thus Jesus said, “Learn from Me… and you will find rest for your souls” (Matt. 11:29).

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

Hallowed is Your Name; Your Kingdom Come; Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven; Consecrate this day our contrite hearts; Make us One in Christ; Let us be of the same mind; Build Your tabernacle in us and Your Peace which surpasses all understanding shall surely guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Phi 4:7). Amen!

Apostle Paul said:

Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things
— Philippians 4:8

Let’s do it…

God looks to the man who trembles when He speaks. This man has learned the ways of God; he delights in obedience. He has chosen to give God what He asks: nothing less than all he is. In return, this man becomes a place, a holy place, where God Himself can rest – this is an excerpt from the book: Holiness, Truth, and the Presence of GOD by Francis Frangipane.
