This is what I wrote in my journal this morning:
Read/ Observe/ Listen / Live
The Word/ The Demonstration/ The Voice / The Life
Understand / Imitate/ Discern / Love
Do you understand?
Will you do it?
Can you hear Me?
Convicting words spoken by the Holy Spirit encourages me.
When I hear His voice, I know: God cares, God loves and I MUST CHANGE. The last three words would drive me (decision, determination, diligence) to become a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God!
Dear Father God,
We tell people that we are Christians. Are we true Christians? Do we have Your DNA? Just like an earthly father is proud of his child’s accomplishments, we want You to be proud of us. You were proud of Job… O Father God, let us not be afraid!
Help us to be continually aware of Your power in our lives. The SAME POWER that raised Jesus from the dead CAN TRANSFORM US – giving us joyful hearts and grateful spirits no matter what comes our way. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen!
The Bible says that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.
Paul said, “FROM SUCH PEOPLE TURN AWAY!” (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
Paul also said,
Let us walk with our eyes open. Let us pray and ask God for discernment: that even as evil men and imposters grow worse, deceiving and being deceived, we can continue in the things which we have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom we have learned them, and from the new birth, we have known the Holy Scriptures which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that we (followers of Christ) may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:13-17)
May the Lord Jesus Christ be with our spirit. Grace be with us. Amen.
