I remember watching one video where several people took turns to dance before the Lord. The person who stood out was a little girl (wearing a beautiful dress) but she may not be considered as beautiful (physically). She moves in an awkward gait (either born with it or the result of some illness). Yet, her every movement tells me how much she loves the Lord. She is not ashamed of how she moves. She is not ashamed that she can’t do what other girls can do. She simply worships – it’s an offering of love, a sacrifice of praise. She reminds me of King David... She reminds me of Jesus…
The ultimate example of sacrifice is Jesus Christ. He had everything and still chose to surrender it out of love for His Father. Our attitude should be the same as His.
Dear Father God,
I am reminded of what Jesus said to His disciples – that when they see Him, they see the Father. Yes! This is my desire - to honour You – that when people see me, they see Jesus. This is my sincere prayer – that when people see Christians, they see Christ. Amen!
Father, give us a heart of love and compassion. We want to be like Jesus! Give us hands that heal, help and honour You! We want the world to see us and praise our Father who art in heaven! To God be the glory!
It’s not about us. It never was. It never will be. It’s about You and You alone! We love You Father! We praise You! We thank You! We worship You! Amen!
The Bible says – This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers (1 John 3:16). God did not just give us a little; He gave His best; He gave Himself! Apostle John is saying that it is no different for us: True love requires sacrifice. And our love is shown by how we live our lives: “Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”
