We were praying … and I heard these words, “Lord, help … do the right thing. It may not be the easiest thing … It may not even be an easy thing … But dear Lord, help … do the right thing …”
These words resonate in my mind and I wrote them down in my journal:
Do the right thing, may not be easiest, may not be easy, but DO THE RIGHT THING.
These words are for … the person we were praying for. These words are for me. Oh Lord, these words are for all Christians!
As I continued to meditate, I continued to journal:
V1 – living sacrifice;
V2 – renew your mind;
V3 – don’t think too highly of yourself;
I got it! God speaks!
Dear Father God, thank You for the Voice of Your Word! It’s amazing how we can apply Your Word to our difficult situations! Thank You Lord! Amen!

My Father, I abandon myself to You. Do with me as You will. Whatever You may do with me, I thank You. I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only Your will be done in me, and in all Your creatures – I wish no more than this, O Lord. ~ Charles De Foucauld ~
“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track. Proverbs 3:5-6 The Message
Sober: sophroneo (in Greek) – to be reasonable; to THINK CLEARLY about one’s limitations
Rick Renner: Instead of thinking too highly of yourself and attempting to go it alone with every project you undertake, be smart! Develop a team mentality. Bring others into the project with you AS THE LORD LEADS. Recognize your limitations, and seek out those who have the gifts and talents you need. Rather than try to figure everything out by yourself, let the people around you contribute their thoughts, views, and insights. Let them use the talents and abilities God gave them. You can accomplish a whole lot more as a team than you can do by yourself.
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man, the measure of faith. Romans 12:3 KJV
God’s words speak volumes! However, His words will not come to pass if our spirits are not teachable!
My prayer / Our prayer
Father God, please give me a teachable spirit. Give me a new heart and put a new spirit in me; Remove from me my heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh.
Put Your Spirit in us and move us to follow Your decrees and be careful to keep Your laws.
We will live in the land You gave us; we are Your people, and You are our God.
