Paul tells us to count ourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:11.
A born-again Christian has a new source of energy on the inside – the power of the Holy Spirit. Thanks be to God!
Paul told Titus to be blameless, not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, and not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, one who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.
Declaration: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20.
Father, I have decided to follow Jesus. Give me a new heart and a new spirit; Remove from me my heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh. Put Your Spirit in me and move me to follow Your decrees and be careful to keep Your laws. Amen. Ezekiel 36:26-27.
Meditation: Am I ready for the wedding? Are we ready for the wedding?
A preview of the wedding
“Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His Bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.”
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Revelation 19:6b - 8.
