Quiet Time with Jesus – Majesty and Mercy

Monday, 26 December 2016

I had a dream: I was walking on a road, then I tripped but I did not fall. I woke up. In reality, I have often tripped but I seldom fall. When I do, it is very painful and it takes time to heal. I believe God has caught me each time when I trip. I believe His hand is outstretched to us. He never withdraws it.

All roads lead somewhere even to a dead end. What do we do when we reach a dead end? We turn around. Life is like walking on a road. The road of life leads us into eternity – either eternal life or eternal death. The choice is ours.

The Bible tells us: No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. (Matthew 24:36-42)

John’s vision: I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the GLORY OF GOD gives it light, and the LAMB is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Revelation 21:22-27)

Dear God, I have no words of my own to describe Your Majesty and Mercy!

Song: You are beautiful beyond description; Too marvelous for words; Too wonderful for comprehension; Like nothing ever seen or heard; Who can grasp Your infinite wisdom; Who can fathom the depth of Your love; You are beautiful beyond description; Majesty enthroned above; And I stand, I stand in awe of You; I stand, I stand in awe of You; Holy God to whom all praise is due; I stand in awe of You!

Thank You God…
