I need patience. We all need patience – especially in prayer. God knows that we need patience. When we are fully in Him, we will bear the fruit of patience (Galatians 5:22). Jesus said, “Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him” (Matthew 6:8). “Then why should we ask?” I had wondered. I am learning that the point of prayer is not to get answers from God, but to have perfect and complete ONENESS with Him. If we pray only because we want answers, we will become irritated and angry with God.
Dear Father God,
It is my greatest desire to reach the level of intimacy with You that the only thing that can account for my prayer life is that it has become ONE with the prayer life of Jesus Christ.
Father, when we seem to have no answer, remind us that there is always a reason – You are using these times to give us DEEP PERSONAL instruction.
The world may come against us, the flesh may come against us, the devil may come against us and everything seems to come against us but YOU ARE WITH US!
We do not preach ourselves, but JESUS CHRIST as Lord, and ourselves as servants for Jesus’ sake. Let light shine out of darkness! Let Your light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of Your Glory in the face of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).
We may be hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed… we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an ETERNAL GLORY that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4).
