The moment when we are born again, we become spirit beings. Therefore, I often remind myself that I am a spirit being. I have a soul and I live in a body. My body is the house where my spirit lives. Although this house is temporary, it is my responsibility to keep it clean. The Bible tells us that our body is the ‘Temple of the Holy Spirit’. Therefore, my body is also the house where the Holy Spirit lives. The Holy Spirit is pure and holy. Therefore, the house where He lives must be kept clean - pure and holy.
Most of us are much more severe in our judgment of others than we are in judging ourselves. From time to time, I am reminded that God is THE JUDGE. It is by grace that I have been saved. My sins are taken away from me, put on Jesus Christ, the Sacrificial Lamb of God and nailed on the cross. I am thoroughly and completely cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb.
Love abounds in me. I want to love the LORD my God with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my strength.
Someone shared this testimony:
When he was a child, he was tempted to steal and he stole. When his mother found out, she caned him. The caning of his flesh was painful. It was the punishment for what he did. But one day, something happened when he was running away from the cane. He saw his mother’s TEARS OF LOVE when she was punishing him. His skin hurts but his heart hurts even more when he saw her tears and realized how deep he has hurt her. He felt her pain. He never stole again. This is AMAZING LOVE.
Dear Father God
Words cannot express my heart of gratitude when I picture Christ on the cross. It is amazing love! Let man understand the mystery of the Gospel. Let all men and women understanding this amazing love. If a child can understand, adults can.
Father, I want to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the LOVE OF CHRIST. I want everybody to grasp it too! To know this love surpasses knowledge! I want to discern what is best and pure and blameless. Jesus said, “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline” (Revelation 3:19). I will be earnest and repent.
Father, give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
