Quiet Time with Jesus – Hope in the LORD

Stress makes us believe that everything has to happen right now. Faith reassures us that everything will happen in God’s timing. Sometimes, I am stopped from praying for a ‘speedy’ recovery…

I believe God has His way of healing us naturally. I have learned that some sicknesses must run the full course. Our body fights and wins. A stronger ‘army’ results. I notice that a disease sometimes recur within a short time even after a person has recovered.

It takes time to build a strong body. It takes time to build a strong house. I like the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs”

The Bible says that God makes everything beautiful in its time. He has also put ETERNITY into man’s heart. Yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11

Let us trust God in all circumstances. I am reminded from time to time:

My thoughts are not your thoughts. Neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
— Isaiah 55:8-9

Whenever I hear His word (at the appropriate time), I am strengthened and encouraged. One time when I was very disappointed, He spoke through His word: Without faith it is impossible to please God! By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away.

YL: Oh God, I want to be like Enoch.

The Bible says,

Before Enoch was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
— Hebrews 11:5-6

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17

Father God, I want to trust in You and Your Word with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I want to acknowledge You, and You will make my paths straight. Let my faith and my actions work together, so that my faith is made complete by what I do. Amen!

Father, I pray for all my brothers and sisters in Christ who are facing some form of discouragement at this point in time. I believe You have a plan for each one of us. Your plan is perfect and it will come to pass. Amen!

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the Everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but THOSE WHO HOPE IN THE LORD WILL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH. THEY WILL SOAR ON WINGS LIKE EAGLES; THEY WILL RUN AND NOT GROW WEARY, THEY WILL WALK AND NOT BE FAINT.
— Isaiah 40:28-31
