When Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” It was a divine revelation and Jesus acknowledged it by saying, “on this rock …” - this revelation that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God – “I will build the church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” (Matthew 16:18)
Therefore, we the church of Jesus Christ, is built to overcome. Hallelujah! Truly, truly, in Christ, we are overcomers!
This is an acrostic for the word ‘VICTORY’:
V – Vision (given by GOD);
I – Insight (given by GOD);
C – Consecration (through the BLOOD and renewal by the WORD);
T – Trust GOD (action);
O – Obey GOD and His WORD (action);
R - Reverence GOD (action);
Y - Yield to the Spirit of GOD (action);
IN CHRIST, we have the authority to bind and to loose. Let us take authority and do the things that God has prepared in advance for us to do!
Jesus is building His church, shaping each brick, and laying each one in its place.
The psalmist said that sons are a heritage and children a reward from the LORD. They are like arrows in the hands of a warrior.
Sharpen and shape each arrow according to Your divine design! We know that the process can be / might be very painful but, afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for all of us who are trained in this way. (Hebrews 12:11)
Thank You LORD!
Father, You said that You will pour out Your Holy Spirit; You said that You will give us a new heart and a new spirit; You said that our sins are forgiven and You will not remember them; We claim all these promises in the name of Jesus. Amen!
I pray that our love will abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, that we will be able to discern what is best and pure and blameless until the day of Christ. I pray that we will be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! We give You praise!
Father God, You have given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. By Your Spirit, we are enabled and empowered to preach the Good News. Remind us to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility towards all people.
Yes! We have tasted that the Lord is good. He saved us, not because of our righteousness, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior. Having been justified by His grace, we are heirs having the hope of eternal life. Thanks be to God! Amen!
