Quiet Time with Jesus – Who Are We?

Saturday, 22 October 2016

n the year 2010, I had to make a quick decision. It was a sensitive moment. I was seeking God - asking questions, searching for answers … Then, I heard His voice, “Who are you?” What a strange question! And the answer spontaneously popped out of my spirit, “In Christ!”

Instantly, I was filled with the Spirit and fearlessness! Hallelujah! I knew what to do. Praise God!

If we follow Christ, then we’re part of the body of believers that comprises the universal church. Our true identity is a glorious one. It’s an identity that positions us for action.
— Wayne Cordeiro

Yes! Action we must take!

I see multitudes flock to see Jesus, to hear Him speak, to touch Him… What draws them to Jesus?

All the people could sit around Him, listening attentively. Mary could sit at His feet, looking into His face, and listening attentively. That’s it! If we are attentive, we can hear! It is God who enables us to hear but first, we must be attentive.

Just imagine, Jesus spoke without a sound system, props, slides, video clips ... Jesus often taught in parables … What draws them to Jesus?

At a wedding, do you often look at the bride more than the bridegroom? Do you find yourself captivated by the bride’s beauty and radiance?

The bride of Christ is a vision of immaculate purity, radiant beauty, sweet aroma, glorious hope and divine promise. Hallelujah! He makes us beautiful!

Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me (John) away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
— Revelation 21:9b-11

The Bible says, “

The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
— Revelation 22:17
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.
— Revelation 22:21
