Quiet Time with Jesus – Perfected

Monday, 21 September 2015

Every Christian shall confess “Christ Jesus has made me His own.” Christians belong to Christ!

In the imperfection of our progress we have already been perfected by the suffering and death of Christ –

because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
— Hebrews 10:14

Christians are “unleavened” – there is no leaven – no evil. Christians have been perfected in Christ. We shall become perfected in practice.

Every day, we are battling in our imperfections on the firm foundation of our perfection.

Our firm foundation is Christ. Christ lives in us. Perfection lives in us. What we need to do is to practice and keep on practicing what we already have in us. We have Christ in us. We are enabled! We are empowered! Praise God!

The Bible urges us to get rid of the old yeast (past imperfections) that we may be a new batch without yeast – as we really are. For Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed.

Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.
— 1 Corinthians 5:8

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

Illuminate the truth and teach us as we study Your Word and live it to the glory of Your name.

We call ourselves Christians. Use us for Your glory.

In Jesus’ name I pray.

Lam Yee Ling

Father, not my will but Yours be done. Amen.
