While Joseph was in prison, the LORD was with him; He showed him kindness and granted him favour in the eyes of the prison warden. The prison warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. (Genesis 39:20-23) THE LORD WAS WITH JOSEPH.
While Paul was in prison, he wrote Colossians, Ephesians, Philippians and Philemon. Even though he was physically restricted, Paul’s influence extended to the ends of the earth and throughout the ages. THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD WAS WITH PAUL.
Circumstances do not have the last word in our lives. God does. GOD IS SOVEREIGN.
Dear Father God,
Joseph did not sin against You. He knew that there is no bondage except sin.
When we submit ourselves to You and resist the devil, he will flee from us.
When we draw near to You, You will draw near to us.
No trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword shall separate us from Your love.
In all these battles, we are more than conquerors THROUGH CHRIST who loves us.
Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from Your love that is IN CHRIST JESUS our Lord.
Christ is the vine; we are the branches. If we abide in Christ and Christ in us, we will bear much fruit; apart from Christ we can do nothing. WE MUST ABIDE IN CHRIST.
