Quiet Time with Jesus – Everlasting God

Friday, 21 August 2015

When I read Luke 14:15-24, I was deeply troubled, especially by what Jesus said

“I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.”
— Luke 14:24

The invited guests were unable to attend the great banquet because one has a ‘field’, another has ‘five yoke of oxen’, and another has a ‘new wife’ … They all said, “Please excuse me. I can’t come.”

Verse 21: “… Go out quickly … and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.” These people came.

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

I thank You that You have opened the doors of Your house to the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame … There is still room in Your house. O God, Your faithfulness is everlasting!

Love and faithfulness are like partners. Where there is love, there is faithfulness.

Love and faithfulness meet together (Psalm 85:10); Love and faithfulness go before you (Psalm 89:14); Let love and faithfulness never leave us (Proverbs 3:3)

Amen!

O God, Your faithfulness is greater than the faithfulness of man on earth!

You are faithful! You have not given up! You will never give up! Never!

O Father God, Your love is everlasting!

Your kindness is everlasting (Isaiah 54:8)! Your covenant is everlasting (Isaiah 55:3)! Your salvation is everlasting (Isaiah 45:17)! Your righteousness is everlasting (Daniel 9:24)!

From everlasting to everlasting, You are God (Psalm 90:2)!

Lead us in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:24)!

In Jesus name I pray.
Amen.

Lam Yee Ling

Father, not my will but Yours be done. Amen.
