Quiet Time with Jesus – Transformation

Sunday, 2 August 2015

Disciples of Jesus Christ have a responsibility. The word ‘responsibility’ comes from the word ‘respond’.

What are we responding to?

I respond to His grace and goodness, His love and mercy, His patience and presence. Thanks be to God!

Someone said, “Let’s do it my way!” Another said, “No, my way not your way!” Now, whose way?

The BEST way is God’s way. Let’s do it His way! Hallelujah!

God has sent His Son, Jesus. Jesus is sending us, His Body. The Body cannot work without the Head. Jesus did not tell us to go alone; He has promised to go with us ALWAYS – to the ends of the world – to the very end of age. This is the word of God!

Come, brothers and sisters-in-Christ, let’s ask Jesus, consult Jesus, be trained by Jesus…

We must bring the GOSPEL to the ends of the world – share the good news – that Christ was crucified and raised from the dead to give us NEW LIFE in CHRIST.

“Come to the Father; Though your gift is small; Broken hearts, broken lives, He will take them all; The power of the Word; The power of His Blood; Everything was done; So you would come …”

Let us come to the Father; Let Him send us back into the world – TRANSFORMED – by His Word and His Blood. Hallelujah!

My Prayer

Dear Father God

Thank You for Your Word! Thank You for Your Blood! We desire to have a personal, passionate devotion to the Person of Jesus Christ. Jesus is our Head. We are His Body. The Body can do nothing without the Head.

Jesus is our ‘pattern’. Jesus is our ‘role model’. But, Jesus is INFINITELY MORE! He is SALVATION! He is the GOSPEL of GOD!

Jesus said, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come he will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.
— John 16:13-15

Therefore, when we commit ourselves to the revealed truth of Your Word, and when we receive from You the gift of the Holy Spirit, who interprets to us what Jesus did, the Spirit of God works in us – transforming us to become what You want us to be. Hallelujah!

I love You, Lord, and I lift my voice;  To worship You, O my soul rejoice;

Take joy, my King, in what You hear;  May it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear;

Lam Yee Ling

Father, not my will but Yours be done. Amen.
