Quiet Time with Jesus - Rejected

Wednesday, 19 AUGUST 2015

The Bible tells us that Jesus was rejected in his hometown. Jesus said, “Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor.”
— Matthew 13:57

When our hearts are open to knowing God, then faith is given to us to believe the unbelievable, to know the unknowable and to see the invisible.

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

Our wisdom is from You, through Your Spirit. It is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him – but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. (Isaiah 64:4, 1 Corinthians 2:9-10)

Holy Spirit, come and search our hearts. Teach us all things that we need to know. Empower us to speak in words taught by You, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

In the name of Jesus, we reject the spirit of rejection and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we wrestle against things that hinder our communication with You as we wrestle in prayer for other people … according to Your perfect will.

We are more than conquerors in Christ - let us be complete in Christ so that our prayers bring victory all the time.

Help us distinguish between Your perfect will and Your permissive will. We know that in all things You work for the good of those who love You, who have been called according to Your purpose. (Romans 8:28)

In Jesus name I pray.

Lam Yee Ling

Father, not my will but Yours be done. Amen.
