Quiet Time with Jesus – antidote to sin and guilt

Tuesday, 8 December 2015

What was Job’s problem?

I think it was his self-righteousness.

Are you self-righteous … sometimes, or all the time?

Job finally saw his own ‘unworthiness’ … He said to the LORD: “I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.”

My ears had heard of You but now my eyes have seen You. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.
— Job 42:5-6

God does not want us to remain in dust and ashes. He knows from Day 1 that perfect performance is not possible for us. He does not require it. We cannot achieve it. We must understand that.

I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins - I will remember no more.
— Hebrews 8:12
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.
— Jeremiah 31:34b

“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

God provides the antidote to man’s sin and guilt.

The LORD warned Moses when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

Today, the church is a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. The church – the people of God – is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven – Christ is still building His church – He is still perfecting it – we know that God has a perfect design – His Kingdom come – His Will be done on earth as it is in heaven …

We are His workers - breaking the ground, laying the foundation, building it strong – we petition, we plead, we persevere, we purpose in prayer and intercession.

The workers are increasing! Hallelujah! Praise the LORD!

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

Surely, You will keep Your Word: You will put Your laws in our minds and write them on our hearts. You will be our God, and we will be Your people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, “Know the LORD,” because we will ALL know You, from the least of us to the greatest. For You will forgive our wickedness and will remember our sins no more.”

Christ has come as the High Priest of a New Covenant. He goes through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is NOT man-made. Christ did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His Own Blood, having obtained eternal redemption. (Hebrews 9:11-12)

I believe that the Blood of Christ through the eternal Spirit can cleanse my conscience from acts that lead to death, so that I may serve the living God. Amen!

Christ is the Mediator of a New Covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance – now that He has died as a ransom to set us free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

Christ has entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.

Hebrews 9:27-28 say that -

Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to FACE JUDGMENT, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people, and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to BRING SALVATION to those who are waiting for Him.

Father, I believe.
Amen!

To whom it may concern

If you believe, simply tell Him.

Lam Yee Ling

Not my will but Yours be done. Amen.
