Quiet Time with Jesus – Memories

Monday, 14 December 2015

Many memories are captured in photographs and videos. Sometimes, a special moment is ‘spoilt’ when we take out our cameras (or mobile phones)… I stood motionless as I witnessed a beautiful scene: a child of God wiping the face and hands of an elderly man lying in bed. As she wiped, she sang softly:

“May the Lord may the Lord bless and keep you; May His grace and His face shine upon you; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you; And give you peace and give you peace. This is the way you shall be blessed from day to day He’ll be your rest.”

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

This is the season to show love … May Your LOVE overflows and overwhelms the ones who are hungry and thirsty …

For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives LIFE to the world.
— John 6:33
Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to ETERNAL LIFE.
— John 4:14
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
— Matthew 5:6

Father, as we feed and drink, we shall also work …

Jesus said,

The work of God is this: to BELIEVE in the One He has sent.
— John 6:29

Jesus also said,

My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.
— John 4:34

The Bible is the Word of God. The Word is Truth. The Truth is: One sows and another reaps.

Father, as You send LIFE ambassadors out all over the world, You are the One who can see ALL that is happening. You are the One who give LIFE.  Direct us as we sow, cultivate and reap … Surely, You will protect us from evil. Surely, You will fill the whole earth with Your Glory. Amen!

Thank You for Your grace given us in Christ Jesus. In Him we have been enriched in every way – in all our speaking and doing, and in all our knowledge – because our testimonies about Christ are confirmed in us.

Therefore, we do not lack any spiritual gift as we eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed to everyone. Christ will keep us strong to the end, so that we will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Father God, You are faithful.

To Whom It May Concern (Galatians 6:7-10)

A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap ETERNAL LIFE.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the FAMILY of believers.

Lam Yee Ling

Not my will but Yours be done. Amen.
