We can exchange our guilt for His glory …
When I feel unwell (body), I become more sensitive to what I feel (physically e.g. pain – where is the pain, fever – monitor it). Then, I pray. If the pain persists or the fever persists, I will see a doctor for a medical diagnosis.
When I feel guilty (soul), I become more sensitive to my response – do I instantly defend myself, argue with the Holy Spirit … Though it is good to understand the cause of the offense, it is not the right response to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. A sense of guilt from within is God’s flag of warning (just like a symptom to a sickness).
A sense of guilt is a friend (a True Friend) knocking at my heart’s door. God knocks only to heal. The right response will lead us back to God, to receive release and freedom … Many people are not aware.
Today, Jesus may be standing at the door of your heart and knocking. If you hear His voice and open the door, He will come in. Whether you are a Christian or not, you can open the door of your heart to the Only One who can set you free.
Dear Father God,
The Bible tells us about Saul who became Paul. Paul wrote that
Sometimes, I am tempted to get angry, to argue … to doubt, to disobey … but the Holy Spirit is always present to help me. Thank You LORD!
Your Word says, “The GOD of PEACE will soon crush Satan under our feet.” Amen.
Resting in Your presence is truly a haven of peace, love and joy. Amen.
It is only when we yield to Your Holy Spirit that we can love our neighbor as ourselves. We cannot love others unless we have a love for ourselves that is rooted in Your love for us. A proper, healthy love for one’s self leads a person to be generous and giving toward others. The person who walks wisely knows that You have loved him even though he did nothing to deserve that love, and therefore, he is much more likely to reach out with love to others even though they may have done nothing to deserve his love. (Charles Stanley)
Father, the Bible tells us that ‘God is LOVE’. I believe in the power of LOVE.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not self-seeking. Love is not easily angered. Love keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Father, I truly believe in the power of LOVE. LOVE saves.
Hosanna - Paul Baloche
Praise is rising; Hearts are turning to You; We turn to You;
Hope is stirring; Hearts are yearning for You; We long for You;
Cause when we see You; We find strength to face the day; In Your presence; All our fears are washed away; Washed away;
Hosanna! Hosanna! You are the God who saves us; Worthy of all our praises;
Hosanna! Hosanna! Come have Your way among us; We welcome You here Lord Jesus;
Hear the sound of hearts returning to You; We turn to You;
In Your kingdom broken lives are made new; You make us new …
