Quiet Time with Jesus – Extraordinary

Saturday, 7 November 2015

I am ordinary but HE is extraordinary; With Him, I can do all things. He is extraordinary.

Through Him, I find my way to the Father; There is no other way; Jesus is the ONLY way to God the Father; In Him, I have peace. Amen.

In this the LOVE of GOD was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might LIVE through HIM.
— 1 John 4:9

Today, God is saying, “You are my child. I love you dearly. I’m aware that someday you’ll turn from me and walk away. But I want you to know, I’ve already provided a way back. Come home.”

And He did something EXTRAORDINARY.

Jesus said,

I am with you always, even to the end of the age
— Matthew 28:20

This is the BEST PROMISE.

Jesus chooses each one of us and appointed us to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last.

Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name. This is my command: Love each other
— John 15:16-17

What is Jesus commanding us to do?

My Prayer

Dear Father God,

Make us Your instrument of LOVE. Shape us into YOUR IMAGE so that all may see Your LOVE through us. Amen.

Behold, Jesus is coming soon! His reward is with Him, and He will give to everyone according to what he has done. Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)

The last words in my Bible are “the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.” (Revelation 22:21)

Indeed, we need grace … For it is by grace that we have been saved … And His grace is sufficient for us. Amen.

So You Would Come - Hillsong

Before the world began; You were on His mind; And every tear you cry; Is precious in His eyes; Because of His great love; He gave His only Son; Everything was done; So you would come;

Nothing you can do; Could make Him love you more; And nothing you’ve done; Could make Him close the door; Because of His great love; He gave His only Son; Everything was done; So you would come;

Come to the Father; though your gift is small; Broken hearts, broken lives; He will take them all; The power of the word; The power of His blood; Everything was done; So you would come;

In October 2001, my pastor asked me if I want to be baptized. I said, “I’m not ready” and he asked, “In what way are you not ready?” I searched my heart and found no answer! What do I mean by ‘not ready’?

You and I do not have to be ‘ready’ to be loved by Him. He already loves us. All we have to do is – BELIEVE.

A Prayer – I Believe

Dear Heavenly Father,

I believe that You love me. I believe that You have sent Your Son to die on the cross for me. I believe that You are giving me a new life. Today, I receive Your free gift of salvation.

I am now a new creation. The old has gone. The new has come. Fill me with the Holy Spirit.

I will yield to the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, be a fruit of the Spirit.

Your blood cleanses me and my mind is being renewed day by day by Your word spoken

into me. I know that no weapon formed against me shall prosper because You are with me - forever and ever.

The Potter’s Hand - Hillsong

Beautiful Lord, Wonderful Saviour; I know for sure, all of my days are held in Your hand, crafted into Your perfect plan;

You gently call me into Your presence; Guiding me by Your Holy Spirit; Teach me dear Lord to live all of my life through Your eyes;

I’m captured by Your Holy calling; Set me apart; I know You’re drawing me to Yourself; Lead me Lord I pray;

Take me, mould me, use me, fill me; I give my life to the Potter’s hand; Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me; I give my life to the Potter’s hand.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
