Who nailed Jesus to the cross?
The Son received a command from the Father. The Son made a decision.
The Bible tells us that we are chosen to be a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God. We are now aliens and strangers in the world.
The Bible also tells us to submit to our ‘masters’ with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.
When the people hurled insults at Him, Jesus did not retaliate. He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly.
The Bible tells us that Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might DIE to sins and LIVE for righteousness; by His wounds we have been healed.
We were like sheep going astray but the Good Shepherd found us. He called and we answered. Now, we have returned to the Good Shepherd and Overseer of our souls. Praise the LORD!
Life is about making decisions. Surely, we want to make right decisions – decisions that are right with God. Jesus decided to obey the Father. He obediently went to the cross for the disobedient. I have decided to follow Jesus. I have decided to obey my Heavenly Father. I have decided to trust His Word. I have decided to yield to the in-dwelling Spirit of God.
Dear Father God,
I thank You LORD that You have put eternity within my heart and that nothing else on earth can ever totally satisfy me.
I am an eternal spirit being living in a temporal physical body. One day, this body will die but my spirit will live on because Jesus laid down His life for me.
I am the redeemed of the LORD. My Redeemer lives! He lives forever! Jesus lives forever to intercede for us (Hebrews 7:25)
Indeed, we are chosen to be a royal priesthood. We are called to intercede.
May we stand united as One Army of prayer warriors. Teach us; Train us; Cover us with the Blood of the Lamb; Clothe us in the Armor of God. Consecrate us, LORD!
Father, I feel as Moses did. I don’t want to go anywhere if Your presence doesn’t go with me. We are not going anywhere if Your presence doesn’t go with us. In Your presence is peace, joy, rest, fulfillment, and love. Help us to never do anything that would compromise the fullness of Your presence in our lives. We live in Your presence. We live in You. Hallelujah! Amen!
