Do you worry?
I do … but I have decided not to.
As I draw near to God, He draws near to me. He assures me that my children will be safe in His hands. I am told that He loves them more than I love them ... They are His children - they are ‘The Next Generation’ (TNG) ... and they are precious to Him.
Therefore, I have decided to trust in the LORD with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
I have decided to follow Jesus … to walk by faith and not by sight, not by power nor by might, but by the Spirit.
I have decided to let the peace of Christ rule in my heart … (Colossians 3:15a).
I have decided to rejoice daily in His presence …
I have decided to be joyful always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
I have decided to obey God and His Word.
May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify me through and through. May my whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage our hearts and strengthen us in every good deed and word. (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)
May the Lord direct our hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance. (2 Thessalonians 3:5)
Father, You are LOVE. You do not love the way the world loves. Your ways are better than our ways. Your plan is better than our plans. And Your timing is BEST. Your LOVE never fails. Your love is perfect.
Let me be a ‘seed’ planted in the rich soil of Your love.
I have decided to submit to God, yielding in the hands of the Gardener - to be pruned though it is painful, to be reshaped until I become perfect in my Father’s eyes.
I believe that even a tiny seed like me can grow into a majestic tree … to provide shelter, to produce fruit …
May Your will be done.
In Jesus’ mighty name I pray!

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
